We periodically release <a title=\"Ermitteln der Plattformversion\" href=\"https:\/\/kb.okra.host\/de\/platform\/determining-platform-version\/\">major hosting platforms<\/a>\u00a0built off the latest <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux\">Redhat Enterprise Linux releases<\/a>. You may do so at any time within the control panel by <a title=\"Anmeldung am Bedienfeld\" href=\"https:\/\/kb.okra.host\/de\/control-panel\/logging-into-the-control-panel\/\">opening a ticket<\/a> unter\u00a0<strong>Help<\/strong> &gt;\u00a0<strong>Trouble Tickets<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Migrations are\u00a0100% free, result in\u00a0zero downtime,\u00a0and take 24 hours to complete.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"process-overview\" >Process overview<\/h2>\n<p>Migrations occur in 2 phases:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Stage One<\/strong>,\u00a0a\u00a0preview stage in which your files are migrated to the new server:\n<ul>\n<li>account created on destination server\n<ul>\n<li>if you run background services, the <a title=\"Abh\u00f6ren von Ports\" href=\"https:\/\/kb.okra.host\/de\/terminal\/listening-ports\/\">preassigned ports<\/a> will change. You are responsible for updating configuration files to avoid having these processes automatically killed on the new server<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>files, users, e-mail addresses, and databases are copied over<\/li>\n<li>DNS TTL is <a title=\"Verk\u00fcrzung der DNS-Laufzeit\" href=\"https:\/\/kb.okra.host\/de\/dns\/reducing-dns-propagation-time\/\">reduced<\/a> to 60 seconds for domains that are designated our <a title=\"Nameserver-Einstellungen\" href=\"https:\/\/kb.okra.host\/de\/dns\/nameserver-settings\/\">hosting nameservers<\/a>, <code>ns1.okra.host<\/code> und <code>ns2.okra.host<\/code>\n<ul>\n<li>this change takes 24 hours to safely propagate<\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #ff0000;\">Important<\/span>: for domains not hosted through ns1.okra.host and ns2.okra.host, you will be required to manually make the IP address adjustments<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>You may\u00a0<a title=\"Vorschau auf Ihre Domain\" href=\"https:\/\/kb.okra.host\/de\/dns\/previewing-your-domain\/\">preview your domain<\/a>\u00a0on the new server upon\u00a0notification <strong>Stage One<\/strong> has completed.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li><strong>Stage Two<\/strong> finalizes changes exactly 24 hours after <strong>Stage One<\/strong> completes:\n<ul>\n<li>files, users, e-mail addresses, and database changes since <strong>Stage One<\/strong>\u00a0are committed to the new server\n<ul>\n<li>databases on new server leftover from <strong>Stage One<\/strong>\u00a0are first dropped, then recreated before importing schema<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>any scheduled tasks are now copied to the server and set to run\n<ul>\n<li>scheduled tasks on the old server are disabled to prevent duplicating tasks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>IP address is changed from the old server IP to new server IP, TTL is increased back to\u00a012 hours<\/li>\n<li>account on old server is deactivated\u00a0in favor of the new server\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Hinweis:<\/span> this change will take 4-6 hours to update when logging into the control panel via <a href=\"https:\/\/cp.okra.host:2083\/apps\/login\">Okra-Panel<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2 id=\"_\" ><\/h2>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Overview Some time during your stay with us, you may want to migrate to a newer, more powerful, and capable server.
