Note, this does not affect <a title=\"Zugriff auf E-Mail\" href=\"https:\/\/kb.okra.host\/de\/e-mail\/accessing-e-mail\/#webmail\">webmail<\/a>. Only desktop\/handheld mail clients apply.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"causes\" >Causes<\/h2>\n<h3 id=\"firewall-restriction-on-port-25\" >Firewall restriction on port 25<\/h3>\n<p>ISPs commonly implement firewall blocks upstream on port 25 to reduce the amount of spam emitted from its network by compromised computers. If you are unable to send through port 25, then change your SMTP port to 587 within your respective e-mail client.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"local-firewall-restrictions\" >Local firewall restrictions<\/h3>\n<p>Certain software, such at Norton Internet Security and AVG may, in certain configurations, restrict communication to the SMTP server. If using such software, refer to its help documentation for further assistance.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"e-mail-returns-with-relay-access-denied\" >E-mail returns with Relay access denied<\/h3>\n<p>E-mail client did not enable outgoing e-mail authentication with the mail server. This is absolutely necessary to ensure that only hosting accounts may send mail through the server (and not random machines across the globe). See <a title=\"Zugriff auf E-Mail\" href=\"https:\/\/kb.okra.host\/de\/e-mail\/accessing-e-mail\/\">Zugriff auf E-Mail<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Invalid login\/password<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Verify user can send outgoing e-mail through the <a title=\"Anmeldung am Bedienfeld\" href=\"https:\/\/kb.okra.host\/de\/control-panel\/logging-into-the-control-panel\/\">Bedienfeld<\/a> unter\u00a0<strong>Benutzer<\/strong> &gt;\u00a0<strong>Manage Users<\/strong> &gt;\u00a0<em><strong>Edit<\/strong><\/em><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>action beneath the\u00a0<em>Actions<\/em> column. Under\u00a0<strong>General Service Configuration<\/strong> &gt;\u00a0<strong>E-Mail<\/strong> &gt;\u00a0<strong><em>Advanced<\/em><\/strong>, verify that\u00a0<em>User may send e-mail through server<\/em> is checked. If checked, verify <a title=\"Zugriff auf E-Mail\" href=\"https:\/\/kb.okra.host\/de\/e-mail\/accessing-e-mail\/\">login information<\/a> is correct.
